Talk:Second Triune armistice proposal
This is no armistice! This is unconditional surrender! It is ridiculous!

- Although this is nothing to do with me, I must point out the clause 4 is concerning. What does being "reported" to the organisation that a micronation is a member of actually mean? In the case of the OAM, the only thing that it can do, in this instance, would be to propose a resolution to condemn that micronation.
- And I also must agree with Secundomia - it's like the Treaty of Versailles all over again.

- Personally, I think it's worse. --Secundomia 23:48, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
I have to agree with Secundomia as well, it's kind of unacceptable for a member of the royal family or their constituency to "surrender" to anyone, but most especially to an intermicronational organization such as the Triune Alliance. Wouldn't it be just as effective and less demanding to simply have a cessasion of military operations? Son3 19:53, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
Response
Perhaps the terms are a bit harsh yes, but it is to serve as an example. To all who dare commit the unforgivable sin of rebellion. They are fortunate to have such a forgiving sovereign. As for clause four, if that is the extent of the OAM's authority then so be it, we will not push for any more than what is within the power of international leaders to do. As for this being a second Versailles, rest assured it is not. This is not our terms for peace, these are the terms for talking. We will listen to all sides of the argument and actually negotiate an agreement that will make as many on all sides as happy as possible. At Versailles, the Allies dictated the terms to Germany and threatened them with invasion if they didn't sign. We are not the monsterous Allies of WW1, we are better.
- If there are to be negotiations, then why does section 3 state: "The Carolinian rebels will give their total and unconditional surrender to the legitimate Austenasian Government and the members of the Triune Alliance", for an unconditional surrender is: "The surrender of a military force or nation without being able to set any limits on the subsequent actions of the victorious power" or "Unconditional surrender is a surrender without conditions, in which no guarantees are given to the surrendering party except for those provided by international law". That would mean that there would be no negotiations and the surrendering party would be at the mercy of: "the legitimate Austenasian Government and the members of the Triune Alliance".'
