State Opening of Council, VI Legislature

To the most honourable gathered representatives, and to all who may hear this, greetings.
It is with great pleasure that Our Imperial Majesty hereby declares that the term of the Sixth Legislature of the Ruling Council has officially begun, and shall last from now until June 2018, covering twelve meetings of Council.
In this Council assembled, the four Provinces of the Empire of Adammia are represented by means of their landed noble and their elected Councilor; furthermore, delegates represent our Colonies far from this chamber, and our citizens living abroad in the United Kingdom and elsewhere. These ten representatives who form the Council during its Sixth Legislature are as follows: present on behalf of the Province of Greater Tytannia are the Duke of Greater Tytannia, His Grace Commodore Sir Joseph Daniels, and the Councilor of Greater Tytannia, Our Imperial Majesty; on behalf of the Province of Serkatia are the Duke of Serkatia, His Grace Colonel Sir Zak Maguire, and the Councilor of Serkatia, His Grace Sir Alexander Helliker; on behalf of the Province of Alluria are the Duke of Alluria, His Grace General Sir Luca Panconi, and the Councilor of Alluria, Sir Jack Sykes; on behalf of the Province of Paternia are the Duke of Paternia, His Grace Callum Gurr, and the Councilor of Paternia, Her Grace Admiral Emily Simpson; on behalf of the Colonies is Owain Davies, and on behalf of our citizens abroad is Asher Bond.
As dictated to us by our most venerated fundamental law, the Supreme Directive, this legislature oversees an executive government led by a Prime Minister elected by the peoples of the Empire. The Prime Minister for this term was elected in a National Election two weeks ago. Of the candidates who stood in that election, His Grace Sir Alexander Helliker recieved 11 votes, Her Grace Admiral Emily Simpson recieved 9 votes, and His Grace General Sir Luca Panconi recieved 8 votes. Thus, His Grace Sir Alexander Helliker has been elected as the fourth Prime Minister of the Empire of Adammia. Last weekend, I met with the Prime Minister to discuss the formation of the Cabinet which will run the executive Imperial Government during this term. The composition of the Cabinet is as follows: the Prime Minister shall be Sir Alexander Helliker; the Deputy Prime Minister shall be General Sir Luca Panconi; the Minister of Finance shall be Owain Davies; the Minister of Foreign Affairs shall be Our Imperial Majesty; the Minister of Defence shall be Commodore Sir Joseph Daniels; the Minister of Citizenship and Information shall be Callum Gurr; and the Minister of National Development shall be Colonel Sir Zak Maguire. Admiral Emily Simpson shall act as the Leader of the Opposition which will scrutinise the work of the executive within this chamber.
Ladies and gentlemen, in opening this term, I affirm that the transitional period has ended, and that the Adammic government is now fully open for business in its Birmingham territories. I would like to thank all those who participated in the recent elections, both as candidates and as voters. The Empire is taking something of a leap into the unknown at this time, but I trust that this new Council will act wisely and in the interests of the nation.
