Isaiah Burdette - Nordika21/11/2020
Nordika is present

J. Cisneros - Aswington21/11/2020
Aswington is present.

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I'll give it a few minutes to see if we have anyone else joining.
Alright we can begin.
Welcome everyone and thank you for attending the last confirmed Sough2020 meeting.
I would like to start off by mentioning a few things post-meetings regarding what will happen next.
After the motions of today have passed, I with help from the Administration hopefully will begin compiling and editing the final Sough Convention on Global Climate Change Volume II document.
Hopefully we'll have the final treaty published for signing by this time text week.
We'll have 3 days for members on this server to sign the document in order to be classed as original signatories.
Any signatures post-signing will be classed as subsequent signatories when the treaty is publically released.
Anybody have any questions?

Luke Raid - Luchijan21/11/2020
Luchijan is present

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Noted.

J. Cisneros - Aswington21/11/2020
Could laws be created based on the Sough Convention, after it is signed?

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
As in national laws?
J. Cisneros - Aswington replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Yes. National laws.

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Alright does anybody wish to suggest any ideas for articles before we formally begin?

Luke Raid - Luchijan replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
No.

J. Cisneros - Aswington21/11/2020
No for the moment.

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Alright then.
Last meeting we had the suggestion of an inter-micronational summit-level meeting on the environment in a similar manner to "Rio+20" suggested by Dhrub.
Unfortunately he isn't here with us tonight so I presume that what he means is for an annual summit to discuss the environment.
Anybody wish to add anything?

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
I would like to address Article VIII (b)

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Go ahead.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
namely, theres nothing there
Is there supposed to be something there?(edited)

Luke Raid - Luchijan21/11/2020
It says TBC which means To Be Continued
So I’m sure there’s something supposed to be there

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Oh I put TBC there on the document just as a mental note for ideas to bring up during meetings.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
That can be done
Anthony I - Antonian Empire replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I see

Luke Raid - Luchijan replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Okay then.

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I think I started the idea last week but forgot to write it down so apologies.
Anyone wish to add anything else to the summit idea?

Luke Raid - Luchijan21/11/2020
No

J. Cisneros - Aswington21/11/2020
No.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
I shall think
Shall we add what can be discussed in such meetings?(edited)

Isaiah Burdette - Nordika replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Can you explain the process of signing?

Archie Birch - Misberia21/11/2020
Misberia is present
Can you explain the process of signing?

Logan Ross - Aenopia replied to Isaiah Burdette - Nordika21/11/2020
Essentially the signatory state will merely have to add their nations name, nation's representative and their signature below.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire replied to Archie Birch - Misberia21/11/2020
To use the vulgar term, 'Pog'

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Essentially the signatory state will merely have to add their nations name, nation's representative and their signature below.
E.g Signed, Logan Ross of Empire of Aenopia signature.

Isaiah Burdette - Nordika replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
And when do we do this?

Anthony I - Antonian Empire replied to Isaiah Burdette - Nordika21/11/2020
Upon ratification

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
After the document is formally published in a week time.

Isaiah Burdette - Nordika21/11/2020
So after it's published we sign it and become an original signatory?

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Yes if it's signed within the 3 day grace period the signatory state will be classed as an original signatory.
Then it will become public for the entire micronational community.
Moving on then I would like to touch upon Article VIII again.
"Following the signing of this treaty, a formal environmental surveying agency will be formed which will conduct surveys in partnership with signatory nations to record information regarding factors about the local environment and national statistics regarding the environment. This data would then subsequently be compiled and published in the form of a formal report."
The question is how should the survey organisation be run? should it be a sub-organisation of the aforementioned environmental organisation? anything else that the survey organisation should do or fulfil?

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
The survey organization can go and ask nations periodically about their environment
Nations can decline to answer, of course, but it is encouraged that they answer and do so truthfully
It should probably be a sub-agency of the aforementioned environmental org since we don't need to manage two different orgs

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I agree.
I think that nations should sign up to the sub-agency in order to make sure that we are only interviewing nations that wish to be interviewed however asking all members would widen the size of the results.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
mhmmms'

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Anybody wish to add anything else?

J. Cisneros - Aswington21/11/2020
No for the moment.

Luke Raid - Luchijan21/11/2020
No

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Alright then let's move on.
My final suggestion for tonight is to host an international clean up day on Earth day (April 22) within signatory nations as part of Article V.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire replied to Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
Shall we add what can be discussed in such meetings?(edited)

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Oh apologies.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
sorry was late

Isaiah Burdette - Nordika replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I concur with this suggestion

Anthony I - Antonian Empire replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
hahu

J. Cisneros - Aswington21/11/2020
It would be a good idea, but what happens if a signatory nation does not comply that day?

Anthony I - Antonian Empire replied to J. Cisneros - Aswington21/11/2020
Were not planning on sending troops to make you do it so
nothing

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I think that there should be a variety of subjects regarding environmentalism such as macronational news and actions, amendments to the treaty, talks on environmentalism, ect.

Logan Ross - Aenopia replied to Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
This exactly.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
It is encouraged

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
The thing about this treaty is that it revolves around encouragement and consent else we wouldn't be able to enforce anything and nobody would sign the treaty.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
nothing is legally binding here, the convention relies on you being a decent human being

J. Cisneros - Aswington21/11/2020
Perhaps I think that in addition to collecting garbage on Earth Day, there could be information campaigns and other activities on the day.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
I concur

Anthony I - Antonian Empire replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Aye

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I concur however that's part of Article V in general.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
True

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I think that we should turn it into a friendly competition of sorts in order to encourage people to go the extra mile.
Plus it makes it more fun and engaging.
Anybody wish to add anything else?

J. Cisneros - Aswington21/11/2020
No for the moment.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
I am currently finishing formatting the Convention

Logan Ross - Aenopia replied to Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
Excellent to hear.
I'll give everyone 5 minutes for any final ideas before we adjourn the final meeting.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
Has the Delegate for Aenopia integrated all the Amendments in #voting ?

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I will be adding them after the meeting ends.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
I’ll let you do that then
Alright I have complete my audit

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Final call for any ideas before we adjourn for the night.
I'm going to presume that nobody has anything else.
Thank you very much to everyone who attended today's session.
I would also like to give my huge thanks to everyone who has attended a meeting, it has been a huge privilege to work with you all sharing ideas as we move onto the next stage.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire21/11/2020
HAHU

Luke Raid - Luchijan replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
You’re welcome. Also sorry I was offline for a bit

J. Cisneros - Aswington replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
You're welcome.

Anthony I - Antonian Empire replied to Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
Thank you very much for organizing and overseeing the convention.

Logan Ross - Aenopia21/11/2020
I would like to state that this will not be the end, as we still have the compilation and signing of the treaty and afterwards will lead to the formation of this organisation.
I will be locking this channel for everyone now.
