20th October 2013, Province of Tytannia

Citizens of this fine nation, hark for Our Imperial Majesty addresses you this day! The time has come again for me to speak about the state of the Empire.

The last time I presented a speech like this, at the beginning of June, Adammia was very different to how it is now. We had no democracy, no international credibility, no efficient government – but we have persisted and now we have passed our first 6 months of existence! We have developed magnificently, introducing the Ruling Council to ensure fair representation, the National Government to keep the state running smoothly, and the Order of Adammia to reward deserving citizens with knighthoods and damehoods. We have held our first elections, signed our first treaties with other micronations, and expanded to our first colony in Cheshire! Our simple economy has begun to flicker into life, with ABanimationLtd earning its first few meagre dollars, and the production of flags and ID cards beginning.

This progress has made me proud to be your Emperor. After all, even though it is I who represents us abroad and writes our legislation, it is you, the People, who make Adammia complete! Without those who nominated themselves in Local Elections, the Ruling Council would never have been possible. Without the investments of citizens into projects like buying materials for the flag and paying their new monthly Contributions, our productivity would have stagnated at best. I understand that Adammia will have taken many of you by surprise, with micronationalism being such an obscure and unconventional field. However, it seems you are adapting well!

Therefore, it is time that we can once more look to the future and contemplate how we will push ourselves to achieve even greater things. This is where you – the ordinary citizen, knight or politician, or anything in between – come in. As your Emperor, I am prepared to go that extra mile to help us as a group reach our goals. But as I pointed out before, I alone cannot make our country great. This is where I will say: look to your interests! A micronation is a platform unlike any other for expressing and developing your interests. Interested in politics? Start a political party based on your views, gain some members and start competing in elections. What about engineering? You could help the Ministry of Defence build miniature craft for the Navy or Air Force, or help the Ministry of Foreign Affairs build embassies for our allied nations. Journalism or media? You could work for the Adammic Express writing articles in the national newspaper, or for Adammic Online Television making productions on the YouTube channel. Perhaps you are looking for action and outdoors adventures? Enlist in the armed forces for they shall one day start excursions around the local area! Interested in business? The economy is a key area that we are looking at and the services sector has massive potential, so start making and selling things to your fellow citizens – possibly even start up a company here! The arts contribute to our culture as well as the economy so that would be a great way to contribute. Whatever your interests are, you can talk to me and find out how they can be applied to the Empire. Consider this: those who get involved now will be those who will reap the rewards in the future. You could go down in micronational history as a key figure in a nation's development. You could earn great honours from the Monarchy. And perhaps best of all, sharing your interests here in Adammia could spread them to an audience you might never find in a macronation where you are drowned out by millions of other people. It's your nation's future you are helping to shape, not mine.

I shall finish by saying this: most micronations do not make it this far. Many collapse within months or weeks, usually due to a lack of activity and a loss of interest. However, we have avoided that fate! If we keep going, we can be up there with Austenasia, St. Charlie, Sandus and the other success stories of the micronational world. We all have a part to play – so let's do it, and have fun in the process. Seek wisdom and honour, and long live the Empire!
