An Act for the Establishment of Royal and Noble Titles Within the Empire

Be it enacted by the Kings most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows—

Preface

  1. This act shall be referred to as the “Royal and Noble Styles Act, 2023”
  2. This act shall go into effect immediately upon signing by His Majesty, the King.

Terms

  1. The following royal titles are established:
    1. King (Queen)
      1. The King (or Queen, if female) is maintained according to the guidelines laid out in the Constitution of the Empire of Kapreburg (2022).
    2. Prince (Princess)
      1. The title of Prince (or Princess, if female) is a royal title conferred to only the children of the monarch, the siblings of the monarch, and the parents of the monarch.
      2. The spouse of anyone bearing this title may also use the title.
      3. A new princely title can be established via royal decree.
      4. The eldest child of the reigning monarch, who has not rejected succession to the throne is granted the title “Prince of Micowi”, or Princess, if female.
  2. The following noble titles are established:
    1. Duke (Duchess)
    2. Earl (Countess)
    3. Baron (Baroness)
      1. Barons and Baronesses can also be styled as Lords, or Ladies, if female.
  3. All nobles are entitled to be granted a full armorial achievement, complete with supporters.
  4. All nobles are entitled to a seat in the House of Lords, however have the privilege to decline the seat. At any moment a noble can be returned their seat if they have once rejected it.
  5. Noble titles are to be passed down via absolute primogeniture.
  6. An heir to a noble title can reject the title, and pass it on to the next closest relative.
