Act 67
In accordance with the Supreme Directive of the Empire of Adammia, on the authority of His Imperial Majesty the Emperor, the Ruling Council and the House of Citizens, in Parliament assembled, this following Act of Parliament is hereby enacted, with the purpose of making a register of interests of parliamentary members in order to increase the transparency of the legislative process.
Section 1
- a) There shall be made a register of interests accounting for all members of both;
- a. the Ruling Council; and
- b. the House of Citizens.
- b) It Shall be the responsibility of the Lord Chancellor and the Speaker of the House of Citizens respectively, to maintain and keep the register.
- c) All members shall be afforded one month (twenty-eight days) to register any new interests.
- d) Interests that should be recorded by members include:
- a. financial interests (i.e. stocks) held in common with the Imperial Treasury;
- b. paid positions within any commercial and or charitable organisation;
- c. any and all interests afforded to the member by the institutions of other micronations.
- e) The register shall not contain any financial information, such as the value of any interests or the personal financial details of members.
Section 2
- a) Failure to register interests, later disclosed or uncovered shall be deemed grounds for a motion of censure.
- b) A censure motion against a member shall be considered by the house with which that member is affiliated.
- c) Such censure motions, if passed by that house shall result in the suspension of that member from the house, for a period of time at the discretion of the house with which that member is affiliated.
