Foundation Day Address, 2015
11th April 2015, Province of Tytannia
My dear people, there are few greater pleasures than to see the fruits of one's efforts. I stand at the helm of a mighty nation that two years ago was but nothing. Since last Foundation Day, Adammia has truly earned its title as an Empire. Today, I am not just speaking to those of you here in the capital city, but broadcasting to our new realms far away from here – the colony of Borealia in Devon, and the territory of Adammic Columbia across the Atlantic. We are united under one banner on a march to prosperity. The alcoholic drinks brewed here in Tytannia, and the furnace operating in Borealia, have created the basis for an economy, something very few micronations ever achieve. Not only that, but we learnt from the mistakes of last Foundation Day to develop our expertise in the field of exploration, allowing us to successfully launch a model rocket last October. Meanwhile, our international standing has grown to the point where I myself have twice been given the honour of being Chairman of the Grand Unified Micronational. This all ties in with our core national values of wisdom and honour.
At this point in time, the occasion of the second anniversary of the Empire's founding, we all come together to celebrate what we have achieved. Later today, a buffet will be held here in White Gold Palace. A museum is set up to remind ourselves of our early history. But at the same time, we are looking to the future. The new Air Force quadcopter will be publicly demonstrated later, and towards the end of the day the Ruling Council will gather to decide what we will spend our extensive Treasury funds on. However, what is most important is that everybody enjoys themselves over Foundation Day weekend, for this Empire does not belong to me. This Empire belongs to all of us, and even though my enthusiasm for this project is rarely equally shared, none of this would be possible without your contributions, be it financial, through helping out physically, or even just offering ideas. So be proud, dear citizens, be proud that after two eventful years the blue and green still yet flies. Seek wisdom and honour, and long live the Empire. Thank you.
