Date: 23 January 2024

Location: Supreme Court of the Empire (SCOE)

Presiding Judges: Honorable Ivan K and Honorable Ian C

Judge Ivan K: This Supreme Court is convened for the case ESCD1, the appeal following ELC01D6. The court will reconsider the arguments presented, and a decision will be reached collectively. Judges Ian C and I will preside over this case.

Judge Ian C: Before we proceed, are there any preliminary matters that need to be addressed?

James (Plaintiff): Your Honors, I appeal for the recognition of our right to marry and change our gender or sex as we see fit.

No opening statements or closing statements were made.

Judge Ivan K: Thank you, James. The court will now deliberate on this matter.

The judges deliberate, considering the arguments from the previous case and the new elements presented in the appeal.

Judge Ivan K: The court reaffirms that homosexual couples are not allowed to marry in the Empire, nor will such marriages conducted outside of the Empire be recognized by it. However, recognizing the evolving nature of societal norms, the court will acknowledge homosexual unions performed outside of the Empire. The court, upon request of the plaintiffs, decides that an attempt to change one's gender or sex is unlawful under any circumstances in the Empire. The Empire will also only recognize a citizen's SOB (Sex Of Birth) as their sex or gender.

Judge Ian C: The decision is made with careful consideration of both individual rights and the cultural values that shape our society. The court proceedings are concluded.
