Decree XXXIX

National Mourning

We, the Adammic Imperial Majesty, do hereby issue the following Decree, upon the lamentable occasion of the passing of Our esteemed grandmother, Her Grace Madam Winifred Hall.

We hereby note that Winifred Hall was instrumental in building the extended family of the House of Hall, the foundation upon which this Empire is built upon. She performed an outstanding service for us all, raising her children to be great people such as that they would raise her grandchildren to be themselves great people. It is through the efforts of her and her husband that the House of Hall became such a closely-knit and supportive family, without which the Empire could not exist in its current form. She will also be remembered as the first Duchess of the Province of Tytannia and the Empire's first Minister of the Environment.

We hereby declare that there shall three days of national mourning, lasting the entirety of the twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth of April of this year, in memory of Madam Winifred Hall. We declare that all government functions shall be suspended for the duration of these three days, except those which are required to maintain the safety of the Empire and those mandated by this Decree. We declare that for the duration of these three days, any flying Adammic flag must be lowered to half-mast. We request that Our military units, whenever is convenient during these three days, fire a nineteen-gun salute in honour of Madam Winifred Hall.

We hereby declare that Lord Sir David Hall shall be appointed as Duke of Tytannia, pending the approval of the Archduke of East Adammia and the Ruling Council.

We, on behalf of Our citizens, hereby declare that the Empire of Adammia will never forget Her Grace Madam Winifred Hall for all she did for Our family and our nation, for all the generations which survive Our reign.

This, the thirty-ninth Imperial Decree of Our Imperial Majesty Emperor Adam the First, is decreed at Primoria on the eleventh day of April, two-thousand and sixteenth year of the Common Era and the fourth year of Our reign, and is signed into immediate effect.
