Decree XXIII

Anthem and Other Affairs

We, the occupant of this Office, do hereby issue the following Decree to reflect the support given for a change in the Empire's National Anthem in a referendum held on the 29th of March 2014, and also to resolve several legal issues.

In accordance with the provisions of Imperial Decree III Adam I., which declared that in order for the National Anthem to be changed it would require the support of a public referendum, Our Office of State did on the 29th of March 2014 organise a referendum open to the full citizens of the Empire of Adammia above the age of 9 years, with the options of retaining Sim Broadway as the National Anthem, changing the National Anthem to the theme music from Chariots of Fire, and continuing to search for another alternative. 76.9% of voters in this referendum chose the second option, and thus, also in accordance with Imperial Decree III Adam I., We do hereby give our Imperial consent and declare that the main theme from the film Chariots of Fire, therein referred to as simply Chariots of Fire, shall replace Sim Broadway as the National Anthem of the Empire of Adammia.

We also decree that the Office of State may organise referendums and elections that last longer than 1 day, up to a maximum of 1 week. Furthermore, we decree that the Adammic Weather Office, which has been considered trapped in political limbo since Act 15 of the Ruling Council was passed, shall be considered a Government Agency under the control of the Ministry of the Environment.

We decree that the Office of State shall maintain a document known as the Codex of Adammic Law, which shall include an interpretation of all micronational law active in the Empire of Adammia, for the purposes of providing a common understanding of the Adammic legal system.

This, the twenty-third Imperial Decree of Our Imperial Majesty Emperor Adam the First, is decreed at Primoria on the thirtieth day of March, two-thousand and fourteenth year of the Common Era, and is signed into immediate effect.

Imperator Adammiae I
