Adam I's Christmas Broadcast, 2015

Citizens of this glorious Empire, and ye from foreign lands, Our Imperial Majesty would like to extend our greetings and salutations to you all, and wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Christmas, this wonderful time of peace and goodwill to all men, is a valuable opportunity to reflect on the way we treat our fellow human beings. Most of us lead lives which are complicated to some extent, with ties to a number of people in various different ways, and in these conditions it is all too easy to allow personal feelings to come to the surface, potentially causing disruption and chaos within a group of people. Tempting though it may be to say what we may feel about others in stressful times, instead use empathy and diplomacy. The majority of people are not bad people, but they can have drastically different viewpoints to you; empathise and try to look at things from their perspective. People will defend themselves when attacked, and they cannot be blamed for that. Always be diplomatic and respectful, because you never know when or who with you might need to negotiate in the future. Many micronations, including our own Empire, have renounced war in favour of diplomacy, and we as individuals should do the same. This clearly ties in with the Christmas message of peace and goodwill, but it should apply equally at all times of the year.
Things have settled down in the Empire this year as we have worked on tweaking the inner workings of government. We are pleased to welcome the colony of Adammic Columbia and the territory of Dearneland to our nation, and we were exceptionally proud to host reknowned travel writer Jonny Blair for a few hours in October, one of Adammia's greatest achievements to date. We don't yet know with certainty what 2016 has in store for us, but have no doubt that we look forward to it.
So once again, on behalf of the Office of the Emperor and our executive government, we the Adammic Imperial Majesty would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Seek wisdom and honour, and long live the Empire.
