A1 Protectorate Agreement

Preamble

In light of recent changes in the administrative divisions of A1, the following document has been drawn up to cater for this new phase in our history.

Article 1 - Transition

1. The protectorate shall be under the administration of the National Government of the Most Glorious People’s Republic of A1 (hereby referred to as the ‘National Government’).

2. The protectorate shall be permitted to retain any existing political structures, symbols and citizens.

3. The protectorate shall officially become a protectorate of the Most Glorious People’s Republic of A1 upon the signing of this agreement by the Governor of the protectorate.

Article 2 - Laws

1. The protectorate shall have all current and future laws put into place by the National Government as law within the protectorate.

2. The protectorate shall be permitted to put into place its own laws, within the boundaries set by the Constitution of the Most Glorious People’s Republic of A1.

Article 3 - Government

1. The leader of the protectorate shall be the Chairman of the Most Glorious People’s Republic of A1, but local authority is presided over by the Governor of the protectorate, as outlined in the Constitution of the Most Glorious People’s Republic of A1.

2. The Governor of the protectorate shall be permitted to raise and maintain his/her own regional government as they see fit.

3. The Protectorate Government may establish such communes within its protectorate as it sees fit.

4. Article 41 of the A1 Constitution is declared null and void, and as such, Governors of protectorates may serve in a single ministerial position in the A1 Government.

Article 4 - Military

1. A Protectorate shall not, without the consent of the National Government, raise or maintain any separate military force.

2. The National Government shall protect every Protectorate against an invasion and, on the application of the Governor of the Protectorate, against domestic violence.

Article 5 - Other

1. The protectorate may withdraw from its status as a protectorate of the Most Glorious People’s Republic of A1 at any time of the Protectorate Government’s choosing, provided that at least 24 hours notice is provided to the Chairman of the National Government.

2. Every citizen of the protectorate shall be automatically granted full citizenship of the Most Glorious People’s Republic of A1 upon the Protectorate’s ascension to being a Protectorate of the Most Glorious People’s Republic of A1.
