Legislation:Florania/Ratified constitution

We, the citizens of the Free Republic of Florania, in order to pursue the goals spelled out in the Constitution; do enact this Constitution on the twenty-eighth day of August in the year 2020. Let it be known far and wide that the Free Republic of Florania, and independent and sovereign nation, will be a state guided by respect for all.

Article I - Rights of the People

Section 1

All citizens, regardless of social status, race, gender, or personality; are entitled to certain inalienable rights, among these:
• Right to self-determination;
• Right to liberty;
• Right to due process of law;
• Right to freedom of movement;
• Right to privacy;
• Right to freedom of thought;
• Right to freedom of religion;
• Right to freedom of expression;
• Right to peaceful assembly;
• Right to freedom of association

Article II - The Executive Branch

Section 2

The President shall be the head of state and government.
• No person shall be eligible for the office of President who has not attained the age of fourteen years; has been six months a citizen of Florania; and has no criminal record or history.
• This Constitution assigns the President the power to:
◦ Sign and veto legislation;
◦ Command the armed forces;
◦ Appoint and dismiss Cabinet Secretaries;
◦ Convene or adjourn the General Assembly;
◦ Grant reprieves and pardons;
◦ Issue executive orders to better enforce the law
